Coalition plans: What will this mean for Australian employers?
The newly elected Coalition plans to implement big changes with the industrial relations policy. Several amendments will be made to the Fair Work Act 2009 such as new limits of protected industrial action and easier access to individual flexibility arrangements. The bullying claims jurisdiction, which is due to commence on the 1st January 2014 will also be looked at.
Other key changes on the agenda include the introduction and review of regulatory bodies to ensure consistency with state building codes and the implementation of the new Paid Parental Leave (PPL).
