It is over. News has spread that arguably the most famous working couple in entertainment – Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt, known collectively as ‘Brangelina’ – have filed for divorce.

Together, they have produced and featured in films, and they started the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to help charities worldwide.

Other than the fame of the people involved, this is like so many other break ups. In particular, break ups at work can be hard to deal with  – not only for the people directly involved but, for colleagues, friends and the employer.

The break down of a relationship can give rise to various issues for an employer including:
