The Fair Work Commission has issued an update to the Passenger Vehicle Transportation Award 2010, which will take effect from the start of the first full pay period starting on or after 1 January 2018.
This amendment to the award provides further clarity around the minimum engagement period for casual employees that are engaged only for transporting school children to and from school. This clarification is that casual employees performing this task may be rostered for one or two separate engagements per day, with a minimum payment of two hours for each separate engagement.
The update takes effect from the start of the first full pay period starting on or after 1 January 2018.
