The Graphic Arts, Printing and Publishing Award 2010 has been varied to clarify that coverage under this award extends to metropolitan daily newspapers.
The award previously expressly covered non-daily newspaper offices and regional daily newspaper offices, but made no mention of daily metropolitan newspapers. The FWC decided to remove the ambiguity and uncertainty around this aspect of the coverage.
The FWC has also decided to extend to shiftworkers the option for relevant employees to agree with their employer to receive an extra two weeks and three days’ annual leave instead of penalty payments for public holiday work.
