WA – COVID Restrictions Update
Latest COVID-19 updates
The five day lockdown has ended, but some restrictions will remain for the Perth metro and Peel region until Sunday 14 February.
Restrictions on Businesses
- A 4sqm rule will apply up to a maximum of 150 patrons (excluding staff) for hospitality, entertainment, public and fitness venues.
- A 150-person capacity limit will apply at all events, including weddings, funerals and community sport (including players, officials and spectators)
- Contact registers are mandatory for most businesses
Employees can return to work, although they must:
- Wear a mask at the workplace
- Stay home if unwell
The following businesses must close:
- Nightclubs
- Casino
Weddings and funerals
- Maximum 150 people permitted.
- Masks must be worn.
- Dancing at weddings is permitted.
- If wedding is held at an entertainment or hospitality venue, 4 square metre rule also applies, up to 150 maximum.
Face Mask Requirements
Masks are to be worn at all times when outside of your place of residence, this includes at workplaces and on public transport
Exemptions
You are not required to wear a mask if you
- are a child aged 12 or under
- have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, that makes wearing a mask unsuitable (for example, a skin condition, an intellectual disability, autism or trauma).
