• Individual Flexibility Agreement (IFA)

Is a written agreement used by an employer and employee to change the effect of certain clauses in their Award or agreement. There are, however, limitations to what an IFA can change. For instance, it cannot be used to remove or reduce entitlements.

  • Induction

The systematic process of introducing a new employee or group of employees to a new organisation. An induction programme will typically outline the expectations of the company, the responsibilities of the position, and help new employees become familiar with the layout and function of the workplace itself. Information is typically delivered verbally and through written material provided by the company.

  • Industrial Relations

Refers to the relationship between employers and employees in industry, and the laws, regulations and political decisions that affect it. Industrial relations help regulate workplaces across Australia and ensure they remain fair, productive and safe.
