Recent FWO audits of the hospitality industry revealed that 72% of businesses had breached workplace laws. This is largely due to the unique challenges the industry faces with its young workforce and recent changes in legislation.

New casual conversion legislation came into effect 1 October 2018. The Fair Work Commission has announced any regular casual employee working under the Hospitality Industry General Award for 12 months is entitled to request permanent employment, potentially unlocking annual leave, long service leave and personal leave.

Employsure is offering an exclusive service to all hospitality business owners – a Free Workplace Check. Our representative will personally visit your business to discuss your contracts, policies and procedures – identifying any areas of non-compliance with recent changes in legislation.
