In 2017/18 the FWO:
- Received 15,138 anonymous reports
- Audited 4,572 businesses
- Issued 615 infringement notices
- Issued 220 compliance notices
- Recovered $29.6 million in unpaid wages for more than 13,000 workers
- Initiated 35 litigations and issued over $7.2 million court ordered penalties – a 49% increase from the previous financial year
- Delivered a record fine of $660,020 to a business that hadn’t paid a migrant worker
- Successfully prosecuted cases for: Racial Discrimination, Accessorial Liability, Paid Parental Leave
