Statement from Peninsula regarding ACCC Federal Court Appeal

Published October 30, 2020 (last updated on June 28, 2024) | Adam Wyatt - Content Writer

Image

Peninsula acknowledges that the ACCC has sought to appeal one aspect of the Federal Court’s decision, which dismissed the case against the company in full. Peninsula notes that the ACCC has not sought to appeal the various other findings of the Federal Court. We are confident in the Federal Court’s definitive judgement and will continue to vigorously defend this position in the Court of Appeal.

We remain of the view that Peninsula has never represented itself as anything other than what it is, and that is a business that provides cost effective workplace relations advice to SMEs. Our key priority remains to offer our clients the practical advice that helps them meet their obligations.
