Are casual employees paid the same as

full-time or part-time employees?

To answer this we need to ask 'What is

the difference between these employment

types?' Casuals are employees that have no

promise of ongoing shifts.

They're also entitled to Casual loading

on top of their award rate of pay. This

loading is generally 25 percent, but it can vary

across Awards. They also have a minimum

engagement hours based on the award. They

still need contracts that clearly

outline their casual status.

if you think your casual employees might

not be set up the right way, call us.
